This aircraft is a modern day fighter jet. There are several variants of the F-35. The one I made is the C variant. Technically it is the more boring of the 3 variations but I liked this ones styling over the other two.

Everything was created by myself except for the missile fluid effect. Special thanks to Dan Delapena for helping me with that! The clouds were maya using maya fluids that I then color corrected in Nuke. Mental Ray was my primary rendered although I did use maya software several times for SS mask renders and the fluids. The jet exhaust was origonally a fluid effect that the above mentioned Dan was working on. However, due to time constraints I made a couple masks over some geometry and did the rest in Nuke.

This was an awesome learning experience. It has been a while since I did some old fashioned rendering! I am thinking about trying to get this model into the cryengine and getting the controls linked up so I could fly it!
